How big is the maze? The hay and corn maze are linked together and cover more than 1 acre, providing more than 4500 feet of passageways. (Yes, you will get lost.)
What should I wear?
Everything is outdoors, so be prepared for sun, rain or even snow in
late October. We also recommend sturdy shoes (occasionally there is
mud) and don't forget a flashlight if you come at night!
How long does it take to get through?
Well, that depends on how many wrong turns you make. Every person will
make it through in a different amount of time. We estimate the average
time
in the maze will be about 20 to 30 minutes. Most people spend at least
an hour to enjoy all of our activities.
What if I can't find my way out? If you choose to use a self guided tour, answering questions correctly will help you navigate the maze. But, if you're still baffled, we'll help you find your way. (If you are bringing kids,
we suggest anyone under 12 enter the maze with an adult or older teen
to ensure a fun experience.)
Is the maze just for kids? No! If you think you this is a kid maze, you haven’t tried
MissoulaMaze! With almost a mile of passageways, we guarantee
you’ll get lost. Still not convinced? Take the ultimate challenge: come
after dark for the NIGHT MAZE. That’s when the maze goes ‘clueless’ and
we remove all the markers for the self-guided tours. How long will you
be lost? There’s only one way to find out! (A flashlight might be helpful if you
want to get out before morning.)
Is the maze haunted? Being lost in the maze after dark is scary enough!
Can I take a stroller through the maze? Yes, but please note passageways are 32 inches wide (plus or minus 2 inches). Most jogging strollers or double strollers will not fit - especially around corners.
Do you have group rates? Yes, for more information on group rates, please email us at: fun@missoulamaze.com
Can I bring my dog? Sorry, pets are not allowed.
What do you do with the hay and straw when maze closes for the year? During the first week in November, the hay and straw is sold for animal feed and bedding mostly. If you're interested in a bale or maybe 100 bales, just ask.
What will next year's maze be like? It's a surprise... But, we welcome your ideas and suggestions!
